I bought this to spray on my dog's butt during the epic flea wars of 2014. She's a wriggler but after a few hours of chasing I finally bundled her into a headlock & managed to spray it on her. She spent the next few hours licking it, pulling a face, forgetting, licking it, pulling a face, etc. It did clear up in a few days so I'm calling this a win. She's a huge licker, can't stop her. It's anxiety thing. Occasionally I spray it on my feet to get her to stop licking me there. It works.
