How Does Drontal for Cats Work?

Drontal for Cats contains two active ingredients: Praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate, which target multiple species of worms in cats. Pyrantel pamoate paralyzes and prevents roundworms and hookworms from attaching to the intestinal lining, and causes them to pass naturally in the stool. Praziquantel, on the other hand, breaks down the lining of tapeworms and causes them to be removed from the body.

Instructions To Use Drontal

Directions for use:

• Drontal for Cats is available in different packs for convenient, weight-appropriate dosage. Weigh your cat to get the suitable pack of Drontal Tablets.
• Treat your cat with Drontal Allwormer every three months, or at the beginning of every season.
• In Hydatid tapeworm-infested locations, treat your cat every 6 weeks.
• Kittens should be treated at 6, 8, and 12 weeks of age, and every 3 months thereafter.
• It is recommended to reduce the environmental contamination by disposing of droppings daily, and removing tapeworm intermediate hosts, e.g., fleas.
• If present, worms may not appear in droppings immediately after treatment, or for up to 48 hours after treatment.

Dosage:

• For cats only. Do not use it in dogs.
• It should be kept out of reach of children.
• Read the label completely and use only as directed.
• If the worm problem persists, consult your veterinarian.
• If poisoning occurs, seek medical advice immediately.

Storage

• Store below 30°C (room temperature).
