Capstar is an oral flea treatment for dogs that generally resist messy topical treatments requiring application and rubbing. This vet-recommended tablet starts working fast and provides quick relief to your dog from the irritation of flea infestations. You may see the dead fleas falling off your dog after a single dose. Capstar is suitable for dogs and puppies aged 4 weeks and above, and weighing at least 2 lbs.
Capstar for Dogs contains nitenpyram, a powerful ingredient that targets the nervous system of parasites, causing rapid flea death. It starts killing fleas within 30 minutes and provides quick relief to your dog from infestations. In studies conducted by the manufacturer, Capstar showed over 90% effectiveness against adult fleas within 4 hours of administration. Additionally, you may give another dose of Capstar to your dog as often as once per day in case of flea re-infestations.

You may use Capstar for dogs together with other products, including heartworm preventives, corticosteroids, antibiotics, vaccines, de-worming medications, shampoos and other flea products. Consult a veterinarian for further guidance.
Capstar tablets do not have an effect on fleas in the pet’s environment. If your dog becomes re-infested with fleas from the environment or other untreated pets in the household, you can give them another dose of Capstar as often as once per day.
You may notice your dog scratching itself after giving Capstar as the fleas begin to die. The temporary scratching behavior of your dog is a reaction to the fleas, not Capstar.
Capstar for Dogs is designed to provide your dogs with short-term or emergency relief from fleas. The effect of a single dose of this treatment lasts for 24-48 hours.
Capstar for dogs is intended for use in dogs and puppies from 4 weeks of age, with at least 2 lbs. of body weight.
