Advantage Multi for Dogs is a multi spectrum solution for the treatment and control of various parasitic infections and diseases in dogs and puppies. It is a once-a-month treatment for the prevention of heartworm disease, the treatment of circulating heartworm larvae in heartworm-positive dogs, and the prevention and treatment of flea infestations. Advantage topical solution for dogs also helps in the treatment and control of intestinal parasite infections caused by hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms. Advantage Multi is recommended for dogs and puppies that are at least 7 weeks of age and that weigh at least 3 lbs.

Advantage Multi Heartworm Treatment - How it works?

The active ingredients present in Advantage Multi topical solution are imidacloprid and moxidectin. Both of these ingredients work collectively and effectively in killing and controlling various parasites, giving dogs absolute parasite protection throughout the month. Imidacloprid kills fleas through contact and helps in the prevention of flea infestations. The other ingredient, moxidectin, gets absorbed in the body and kills gastrointestinal worms, thus helping in the prevention of worms like hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms. Available in four different packs as per the weight of canines, Advantage is suitable for all breeds and sizes of dogs. The waterproof formulation remains effective even after your dog gets wet.

Instructions To Use Advantage Multi (Advocate)

• Weigh your pet and choose the correct pack accordingly.
• Create a spot for application by parting the fur of the dog between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.
• Break open the seal.
• Place the tip of the applicator on the skin.
• Squeeze out the solution and empty all the contents of the tube.
• For small and medium dogs, one spot between the shoulder blades is enough.
• For larger dogs, 3 to 4 spots across the backbone until the base of the tail are mandatory.
• Allow the solution to dry.

• Do NOT use on puppies younger than 7 weeks of age.
• Keep away from pet’s eyes and mouth.
• Wash hands thoroughly after treatment.
• Do not use on collie breed.
• Ingestion by the pet may result in temporary salivation, vomiting, respiratory discomfort, or tremors. If these signs persist then immediately consult a veterinarian.

Warning: Dogs of some breeds like collies including border collies are sensitive to Moxidectin. They can suffer more or less serious adverse effects if treated at dose rates slightly higher than the recommended ones. Consequently, dosing must be as accurate as possible.
