Nuheart (Generic Heartgard) for Medium Dogs (Green): Monthly Heartworm Protection

Nuheart for Medium Dogs (Green) is a convenient monthly heartworm preventive for dogs weighing between 26 & 50 lbs. It is made with ivermectin, which works against the tissue larval stages of heartworms. The water-soluble tablets are easy to administer and, when given as directed, help protect dogs against the potentially deadly heartworm disease. Nuheart is available in different packs for accurate dosage in dogs of different sizes and weights.

Nuheart (Green) Coverage

These ivermectin tablets for dogs are to be administered once every month. When used as recommended, Nuheart prevents heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) disease in canines. It is effective against the tissue larval stages of the parasite within 30 days of infection.

How Does Nuheart for Medium Dogs (Green) Work?

Nuheart heartworm tablets for medium dogs contain ivermectin as an active ingredient. This anti-parasitic affects the nerve and muscle cells and causes paralysis and death in parasites. When administered at monthly intervals, it helps provide year-round protection against heartworm disease.

Instructions To Use Nuheart

Directions for use:

• Weigh your dog and get the suitable pack of Nuheart tablets.
• Remove one tablet from the blister card.
• Place the tablet on the back of your dog’s throat, on the top of the tongue, and gently push it down the throat with your index finger.
• Alternatively, dissolve the tablet in 5 - 10 mL of water or other fluid and add it to your dog’s food.
• Make sure that your dog consumes the entire dose.
• If the whole dose is not consumed, give another tablet to ensure your dog’s protection against heartworm infection. If unsure, please consult your veterinarian before re-dosing.
• Administer Nuheart to your dog every month, preferably on the same date.
• If you miss the dose by not more than 7 days, give a tablet immediately and resume the monthly dosing regimen.

• Nuheart tablets are available in three different packs for convenient, weight-appropriate dosage.
• The packs are color-coded for easier identification.

Dosing schedule:

This tablet is for animal treatment only. It should be kept out of reach of children. Read the label completely and follow the directions for use. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the product. Avoid contact with the eyes, as it can cause irritation. If poisoning occurs, seek medical advice or contact the Poison Control Center. Dispose of the used pack by wrapping it with paper and putting it in the garbage.

Precautions

• Nuheart is not effective against adult heartworms. Prior to treatment with it, the dog should be examined by a veterinarian for the presence of adult heartworm and microfilariae.
• Adverse reactions may occur in Collie dogs and Border Collies. In case of adverse reactions, consult your veterinarian immediately.

Storage

Store in the original packaging, in a cool and dark place to protect the tablets from light. Store below 30°C (room temperature).
