This dog dewormer is formulated with ingredients like praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate, and febantel, which help remove multiple species of worms from your dog and support their overall well-being.

Drontal Plus is available in tablet form, which makes the dosage convenient for dogs that are not comfortable with messy topical treatments. Drontal Plus is suitable for dogs and puppies aged 3 weeks and above.

How Does Drontal Plus for Small and Medium Dogs Work?

Drontal Plus Tablets for Small and Medium Dogs contain three active ingredients: Praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate and febantel, each of which works against parasites independently. Praziquantel causes tapeworms to lose their ability to resist digestion, and helps eliminate disintegrated and partially digested pieces of tapeworms in the stool.

Pyrantel pamoate acts against hookworms and ascarids. It causes spastic paralysis in parasites and leads to their elimination. Febantel, on the other hand, disrupts the energy metabolism of nematodes (including whipworms), leading to their elimination.

Instructions To Use Drontal Plus

Directions for use:

Drontal Plus Tablets:

• Drontal Plus is available in different packs for convenient, weight-appropriate dosage. Weigh your dog to get the suitable pack of Drontal Plus.
• Refer to the product label and administer the recommended dosage to your dog.
• Remove Drontal Plus Tablet from the pack and offer it to your dog by hand.
• Alternatively, you can offer it in a small amount of food to increase acceptance.
• Fasting is neither necessary nor recommended prior to or after the treatment.
• For pets living where re-infections (from certain species of tapeworms) are likely to occur, retreatment may be necessary. In case of continual exposure to wild rodents, retreatment at 21-26 day intervals is recommended to prevent the shedding of infectious eggs. Please consult a veterinarian for guidance.

Drontal Chewables:

• Drontal Allwormer Chewables are available in different packs for convenient, weight-appropriate dosage. Weigh your dog to get the suitable pack of Drontal Chewables.
• Dosage:
  • Drontal Allwormer Chewables for Small Dogs: 1 chew/22 lbs. (10 kg) of body weight
  • Drontal Allwormer Chewables for Large Dogs: 1 chew/77 lbs. (35 kg) of body weight
• Administer the recommended dosage to your dog once every three months, or at the beginning of every season.
• In hydatid tapeworm infested locations, treat your dog with Drontal Chewables every 6 weeks.
• If whipworm is a problem, re-treat your dog every 6 – 8 weeks.
• Do not let your dog feed on offal of any species.
• Treat your dog as well as reduce the environmental contamination by daily disposal of droppings.
• For tapeworm control, it is also recommended to remove tapeworm intermediate hosts, e.g., fleas.

Drontal Worming Suspension for Puppies:

• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Administer 1ml of Drontal oral liquid per 2.2 lbs. (1 kg) of your puppy’s body weight.
• Give Drontal Oral Suspension as a single dose by mouth using the dosing syringe.
• Fasting prior to dosing is not necessary.
• Treat the puppy at 2 weeks of age, and then at 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks of age.
• After 12 weeks of age, treat the puppy every month until 6 months of age. Thereafter, treat every 3 months.
• If whipworm is the problem, treat every 6-8 weeks after 3 months of age.
• Treat your puppy and all other in-contact dogs. Also, reduce the environmental contamination by daily disposal of droppings.

• For animal treatment only.
• It should be kept out of reach of children.
• Read the label completely and use only as directed.
• Clean all areas where the pet was maintained or in contact with them thoroughly and allow areas to dry completely before reuse.
• If the worm problem persists, consult your veterinarian.
• If poisoning occurs, seek medical advice immediately.

Precautions

• Dogs treated with Drontal Plus Tablets for the first time or at intervals greater than 28 days may shed eggs in the feces after treatment. The treated pet should be held in a clinic during this interval, and feces should be incinerated or autoclaved. If this is not possible, the eggs can be destroyed by soaking the feces in a sodium hypochlorite (bleach) solution. For further guidance, please consult your veterinarian.

Storage:

Drontal Plus Tablets:

• Store at controlled room temperatures between 59 - 86°F (15 - 30°C).
• Store un-blistered whole or partial tablets in a tightly sealed container.

Drontal Chewables & Drontal Worming Suspension for Puppies:

• Store below 30°C (room temperature).
• Dispose of empty containers and packaging by wrapping in paper and putting them in the garbage.
