How does Revolution Blue Work?

Revolution blue for cats contains selamectin, a potent ingredient that helps protect your pet from parasite attacks. After being applied on the pet’s skin, Revolution enters the bloodstream through the skin. Its concentrations in the blood and tissues prevent heartworm disease. Revolution is selectively distributed from the blood to the skin and provides protection against common parasites.

Instructions To Use Revolution

• Weigh your cat and get the suitable Revolution pack for your cat.
• Open the pouch and remove the tube from it.
• Hold the tube upright and firmly press the cap down to puncture the seal on the tube.
• Remove the cap, check and ensure that the tip of the tube is open.
• Make your cat stand or sit in a comfortable position.
• Part the hair on the back of the cat, at the base of the neck, in front of the shoulder blades, until the skin is visible.
• Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube 3 or 4 times to empty its entire contents directly onto the skin in one spot.
• Keeping the tube squeezed, drag it away from the liquid and lift to remove.
• Check the tube to ensure that it is empty.
• Do not massage the product into the skin.
• Do not apply it when your cat’s hair coat is wet.
• Do not bathe or shampoo your cat for 24 hours after treatment to maintain the product’s effectiveness.
• Repeat the dosage at monthly intervals for your cat’s year-round parasite protection.

Packages

• It is not for human use. Keep out of reach of children.
• Due to alcohol content, do not apply it to your cat’s broken skin.
• Avoid contact between the product and your fingers.
• Discard empty tubes in your ordinary household refuse.
• In humans, Revolution may be irritating to the skin and eyes.
• Wash your hands after use and wash off any product in contact with the skin immediately with soap and water.
• If contact with the eyes occurs, flush eyes copiously with water.
• If wearing contact lenses, rinse the eyes first. Remove contact lenses and continue rinsing for 5-10 minutes. Then, seek medical advice immediately.
• In case of accidental ingestion by a human, contact a physician immediately.

Precautions

• Do not use it in sick, debilitated or underweight cats.
• At the discretion of the veterinarian, cats =6 months of age may be tested to determine the presence of existing heartworm infections before beginning the treatment with Revolution. Cats already infected with adult heartworms can be given Revolution monthly to prevent further infections.

Storage

• It is flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames or other sources of ignition.
• Store below 86°F (30°C).
